A letter to lonesomeness

Through the tree's branches outside my window
The sun's golden rays come brighten my day
I look outside and see winter birds play
On my wooden box they show their shadow

The white paper doesn't seem to mind though
That dodgy and playful shapes find their way
Like blue ink balerinas dance and play
While the cold wind's tunes encourage their grow

Today I decided to write a letter
Wouldn't you try to make someone feel better
If you thought they lived their days all alone?

Envelope, box and me, all left together
To the empty apartment and we sled ther'
Post through the mailbox, now emptyness gone

The old still remains

From down by the tree (in which the winter birds appear),
a soft but steady flow of music comes to ear.
Our inner yard is often filled with this soothing sound,
It ain't just music, for it's feeling is so profound,
It's like the sound of the birds, ancient and pure,
Nothing can change it, all it will endure.
I sit down next to the man, the trumpet magician,
He continues playing but looks at me with recognition.
He told me once the song he plays, over and over again,
was written by Papa Joe, to him a very special man.
The last note fades into the air, then he said polite,

A timeless feeling

The last note fades into the air, then he says polite,
"How's my little friend, is everything alright?"
I nod, take out my little box, and show it with pride.
Some people can't be trusted, but in him I can confide.
"Now that is something special, you should hold on to that for sure,
It will show you good old magic, that I can assure"
I tell him that I got it trough quite an unusual way,
For it was the cat who brought it to me, just the other day.
He doesn't seem surprised at all, I know I sure was astound.
"Time is a funny thing my dear, it sometimes plays around"
He takes his trumpet, and starts again his tune.

Through a window

As I went on my way back inside
I heard a sound that no wall could hide
from out of a room
matching the tune
I heard singing about the west side

Through the windowpane I took a peek
I saw old records, many antique
Ethel was dancing
My eyes were glancing

Tempus fugit

feeling like fainting
without the fear
of loosing it
colours blend
sounds distort

like dreaming about real life
while knowing the real life
is only the dream
you'll wake up from

and from the sky
the stars fall
like little lightbulbs
on strings

From day to day

White clouds, the blue sky
and the rooftop silhouette,
windows, walls and doors,
but little things set apart.
My reflection shows,
that my hair has grown longer,
my eye color changed
and my dress is short and dark.
I hear a voice say,
"Hey little friend, how are you?"

I turn around to see who spoke to me
Music starts playing and I start to see
A man on a chair with a derby hat
And by his side a young boy and a cat
I am not quite sure if this is all real

The man stopped playing and then kindly said
"Come a bit closer my eye is quite bad
You must be the new girl that just moved in
So tell us who you are and where you've been?"

The colour copper shining bright, two cornets play
Softly the sound of her singing, oh soothing voice
